Horse Cave, KY – State police have not yet released the identity of a man who was shot and killed by Trooper Joel Huff at an Interstate 65 rest stop near Horse Cave.
Huff was looking for a man who fled the scene of a traffic crash Tuesday afternoon.
A statement by State Police says there was a struggle and the man brandished a gun. The statement says Huff fired his weapon, fatally wounding the man. Huff was not injured.
Detectives are trying to determine if the man's car was involved in a Nelson County burglary earlier in the day.
