Bowling Green, KY –
State Representative Dewayne Bunch's family says its best for someone else to represent the voters of Kentucky's 82nd House District.

In a letter to constituents, his wife-- Regina Bunch-- thanked those who have provided encouragement and prayers to her family, since her husband was injured while trying to stop a fight between two students in April. Mrs. Bunch says resigning the position at this time should clear the way for a replacement to be in place by the start of the 2012 General Assembly. She says her husband's recovery is continuing.

House Republican Leaders issued a statement, praising Representative Bunch for his service to the nation, his military career, and his time in the General Assembly.
