Frankfort, KY – The state education cabinet reports unemployment rates decreased in 101 Kentucky counties between October of last year and this October. Joblessness rose in 17 counties and remained the same in two...Livingston and Scott.
The office of employment and training reports that last month, three counties had jobless rates at or above 10%.
Woodford County's 2 1/2% jobless rate was the lowest in the Commonwealth. Other low rates were recorded in Oldham 2.6%, Metcalfe 2.7%, Menifee 2.8%, Anderson, Barren, Jessamine and Trigg Counties at 2.9% and Fayette and Monroe Counties at 3%
Magoffin County recorded the state's highest unemployment rate at 12.9%
