Storm Injures Mobile Home Park Residents Near Somerset

By AP

Somerset, KY – At least four people have been injured by a storm that swept
over a mobile home park located north of Somerset. 9-1-1
Supervisor Charles Walker says some runs were made
to the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, but the injuries are described as minor.
Early reports indicated that five mobile homes had been
destroyed at the Cheyenne Mobile Home Park, which is
located eight miles north of Somerset, Kentucky. Many
other mobile homes were reportedly damaged by the
storm, but Walker says it has not been determined whether
this morning's damage was caused by a tornado or straight
line winds.

The storm also dropped trees and power lines, leaving
the area without electrical service. Some roads were also
blocked by fallen trees and limbs.
