Strong Winds, Storms Cause Injuries in Marion and Taylor Counties

Emergency management officials in central Kentucky say two people were injured when winds blew a mobile home off its foundation near Campbellsville as a storm blew through the state.

Marion County Emergency Management Director Hayden Johnson says a 32-year-old woman and a 7-year-old boy were treated for minor injuries early Wednesday, but no other damage or injuries were reported in the central Kentucky county.

The winds were part of a line of storms that moved through Kentucky early Wednesday in advance of a cold front. National Weather Service forecaster Ryan Sharp says wind speeds exceeded 60 miles per hour in some areas, but no tornadoes were reported or confirmed.

Officials from around the state reported mostly minor damage, including trees and power lines being knocked down and some damage to barns and homes.
