Student Arraigned For WKU Athlete Drowning

Bend, OR – Oregon authorities are prosecuting a man for providing alcohol to a baseball player from Kentucky who drowned in a river this summer.
Scott Reese of Portland, Oregon, will be arraigned October 14th for providing alcohol to Michael Wilhite who was 20 when he drowned July 28th in bend, Oregon.
Wilhite, of Franklin, KY, was in the state to play on a summer league baseball team. He would have been a junior on Western kentucky University's baseball team.
The 21 year old Reese was Wilhite's former teammate for the Bend Elks, a member of the West Coast Collegiate Baseball League. Reese is a junior at Creighton.
According to toxicology results, Wilhite's blood alcohol,level was he died was .20, more than twice the legal driving limit in Oregon.
