Stumbo Resigns From Merit System Task Force

By AP

Frankfort, KY – Attorney general Greg Stumbo is resigning from the task force reviewing the state's merit system.
Prosecutors in Stumbo's office are investigating the Fletcher administration for alleged improprieties in their personnel decisions regarding the merit system.
In a letter to Fletcher Monday, Stumbo said he has grave concerns about the actions and legitimacy of the task force.
Stumbo says that among his concerns are, what he termed "clear conflicts of interest" among members of the task force. He says he's "dismayed" that personnel secretary Erwin Roberts is looking into the voter registration data of rank and file employees.
