Feb 22, 2012

Update: An Amber Alert issued in Tennessee has been called off, following the discovery of two abducted children. The brother and sister were found in Maryland.

Original story:

An Amber Alert has been issued for two young children allegedly abducted in central Tennessee. Three-year-old Summer Knasel and 4-year-old Lovell Knasel were taken from their home in Spencer. They were believed to be taken by their non-custodial parents--32-year-old Jeremy Knasel, and 24-year-old Ashley Norberg.

Police say the parents are likely armed with at least one handgun. A black Nissan they were earlier believed to be driving has been located, and authorities now say the subjects are believed to be in a 1987 dark blue Chevy Astro Van. The TennesseeĀ  license plate on the Astro Van is 065VKS.

The children were taken from the parentsā€™ custody after it was discovered the mother and father were running a meth lab.

Police ask if you have information as to the whereabouts of the children or parents to contact the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
