Trails at Abraham Lincoln Park in Hodgenville Closed for Tree Removal
The Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park is temporarily closing some trails so that hazardous trees can be removed. A statement says trails in the picnic area the Lincoln's birthplace will be closed Wednesday through Saturday.
Park Superintendent Bill Justice said while the trails are popular, the safety of visitors and employees comes first.
He said the picnic area of the park will remain open, but the pavilion would be closed.
