The trial date for a man accused of killing a pregnant runner in south-central Kentucky in June has been set. WLEX-TV in Lexington reports the trial of Christopher W. Allman is scheduled for Sept. 30.

Allman has pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, rape, fetal homicide, kidnapping, robbery and tampering with physical evidence in the June 14 death of 31-year-old Sarah B. Hart.

Police accused Allman of strangling Hart, a pharmacist who was pregnant with her fourth child, and trying to hide her body in a field near U.S. 127 in Jamestown.

The prosecutor has indicated he will seek the death penalty in the case.
