Bowling Green, KY – State police are trying to identify two bodies found this week in a burned-out pickup truck left on a rural road in Allen County.
A farmer in Allen County called police Thursday to tell them about the bodies which were found on Kentucky 1332. The farmer had seen the pickup in the same spot a day before and became curious when he found that it had not moved.
State police spokesperson Todd Holder said investigators have an idea who the are based on the vehicle's registration, but state forensic anthropologist Emily Craig has been asked to examine dental records and DNA.
Holder says a state police arson investigator has also been asked to examine the scene because the fire's cause remains unknown.
