Two pre-schoolers were killed and four others injured, when their bus crashed Monday afternoon in Carroll County. State Police say a Head Start bus taking nine children home, and was traveling on Boone Road, when it ran off the road, partially overturned onto its side and struck a tree.
Two of the youngsters were pronounced dead at the scene, three others were taken to Kosair Children's Hospital, while a fourth was transported to UK. The other three were released to their parents at the scene. The adult aide on board was also hospitalized, while the driver was uninjured.
State Police say the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
