Two Terror Suspects Arrested in Bowling Green

Bowling Green, KY – Federal authorities say Waad Ramadan Alwan and Mohaned Shareef Hammadi were arrested in Bowling Green on May 25th. Alwan had allegedly been involved in the manufacture of IEDs in Iraq and had distributed information on how to make the explosive devices. Hammadi is charged with trying to provide material support to Al Qaeda in Iraq and trying to export Stinger missiles.

The indictment and criminal complaints were unsealed today and were announced by Todd Hinnen, Acting Assistant Attorney General for National Security.
