Unsafe Water In Louisville Fountains

By AP

Louisville, KY – Tests by the Louisville Metro Health Department show the fountains and pools at the city's Waterfront Park have unsafe levels of coliform bacteria from human waste.
Health officials say the levels found in some of the samples were 10 to 30 times as high as what would be allowed in swimming pools.
Officials say the problem is caused by the soiled diapers of infants along with homeless people bathing and defecating in the water. As a result of the discovery, the city will spend $22,000 to change the plumbing.
