Bowling Green, Ky – Volunteer fire departments across Kentucky and the nation are facing a crisis. They've often been short of money and personnel in the past, but now fewer young people are stepping in to fill the ranks. In this report we hear from several volunteer firefighters, including Mike Braun, Assistant Chief of the Austin-Tracy Volunteer Fire Department in Barren County.
