Richmond, KY – The chief of the Waco fire department in Madison County has been removed from office amid an investigation into missing bingo receipts totalling up to $200,000.
Roger Alexander was voted out at a meeting of the department's firefighters Tuesday night. Troy Farthing will be temporary chief until new officers are elected early next month. he says all four members of the board that oversees bingo operations receipts also have been replaced.
Fire officials say Dale Jones of the Kentucky Gaming Commission is investigating. No charges have been filed in the investigation.
