Bowling Green, KY – Add the Warren County jail to the list of detention facilities in Kentucky to ban tobacco products.
Jailers collected remaining cigarettes and related items Monday as the ban went into effect.
The inmates were told about the ban six weeks ago and the jail stopped selling products April 27th.
A deputy jailer says about 50% of the inmates at the jail smoked. Many complained and said the smoking ban might cause more fights.
