Wednesday Evening Severe Weather Update

Update: 9:05 p.m.
Tornado Warning for Eastern Christian, Southwest Muhlenberg and Northern Todd counties until 9:30 p.m.

Update: 8:45 p.m.
The NWS is reporting that spotters identified a "large and extremely dangerous" tornado on the ground between Mortons Gap and Nortonville near I-69 and the Pennyrile Parkway at 8:25 p.m.

Update: 7:52 p.m. (CDT)
NWS has issued a Tornado Warning for Southern Hopkins County until 8:30 p.m.

Update: 7:30 p.m. (CDT)
A Tornado Warning for Eastern Warren County is in effect until 8:00 p.m.

Update: 7:22 p.m. (CDT)
A Tornado Warning has been issued for parts of Butler and Warren Counties until 7:45 p.m. this evening.

Update: 7:00 p.m. (CDT)
The NWS has issued a Tornado Warning for West Central Hopkins and Southwestern Webster counties until 7:30 p.m.

Update: 6:44 p.m. (CDT)
The NWS reports storm spotters  confirmed a "large" tornado on the ground near Wheatcroft in Webster County.  Tornado Warning remains until 7 p.m.

The Tornado Warning for Union and Webster counties has been extended until 7 p.m. central

A Tornado Warning has been issued for Union and Webster counties in Western Kentucky until 6:30c tonight.

Update 5:40 p.m. (CDT)
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Union and Webster Counties in Western Kentucky until 6 p.m. central. And, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Marion and Taylor Counties until 7:10 p.m. eastern

Update: 5:15 p.m. (CDT)
The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Eastern Posey, Southwest Warrick, Vanderburgh and Northeast Henderson (KY) counties until 8 p.m. central tonight. Also, to the east a Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect in South Central Fayette, East Central Jessamine, and Northern Madison Counties until 6:50 Eastern.

Update: 4:45 p.m. (CDT)

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for Northeast Anderson, Southwest Shelby, Southwest Franklin and West Central Woodford counties until 6:05 p.m. Eastern Time.

Update 3:45 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect until 4:15 p.m. for Northern Spencer County in Southwest Indiana.  The NWS in Paducah says the storm could have 60 mph winds and quarter-sized hail.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch in effect until 8 pm central/9 eastern time Wednesday for several Kentucky counties in our listening area, including:

Allen, Barren, Breckinridge, Bullitt, Butler, Daviess, Edmonson, Grayson, Hancock, Hardin, Hart, Jefferson, Larue, Logan, Meade, Ohio, Simpson, and Warren.

Indiana counties in our listening area impacted by this watch include Crawford, Dubois, Gibson, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh, and Warrick.
