The Board of Trustees at Midway College recently selected Dr. John P. Marsden to serve as the institution's new President. Marsden, who previously served as Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Barton College in North Carolina, will attend a welcoming ceremony on December 4th.
The ceremony will be open to the public, and will start at 9:30am at the Path of Opportunity and Pinkerton Hall on the Midway College Campus, which is located in Woodford County, Kentucky.
Dr. Marsden earned his undergraduate degree in architecture at Carnegie Mellon University. He received a Master's from the University of Arizona and earned his Ph.D. at the University of Michigan.
Marsden says he is "enthusiastic about the opportunity to collaboratively build a vision for the College based on its solid foundation."
