Winter Weather Advisories In Effect

Portions of our coverage area are expected to receive a mix of rain and snow Sunday. Snow accumulation is possible--up to four inches in the Eastern parts of our coverage area. More from the National Weather Service.

KYTC Snow and Ice Team members will monitor the winter weather.  Highway crews will be on-call to respond should the winter precipitation become more organized and accumulate to a point it adversely impacts driving conditions.

As the forecast stands now, temperatures are expected to remain in the mid-30’s, helping to minimize the impact of falling snow.  Snow that does fall is expected to be of the wet variety.

Motorists are reminded to closely monitor the weather forecast via area media outlets over the weekend and be aware of localized driving conditions which can change mile by mile as winter weather develops.  Travelers should be aware of the potential for heavier snow accumulations to the east and south.
