Bowling Green,KY – Officials at Western Kentucky University say
a two million dollar commitment to endowed
professorships in science has pushed the
"Investing in the Spirit" campaign over the
one hundred million dollar mark. University
President Gary Ransdell says the latest
gift, from Dr. William McCormack, will be
used for new professorships in physics and
biotechnology programs.
The "Investing in the Spirit" campaign is the
largest fund-raising effort in the history of
the university. The campaign, which started
in 1998, has now concluded with a total
of 102,164,282 dollars, according to
Vice-President for Institutional Advancement
Tom Hiles.
