WKU Astonomer's Colleagues Win Nobel Prize

By Dan Modlin

Bowling Green, KY – An astonomer from WKU helped with a research project that has earned three scientists the Nobel Prize in Physics for this year. Dr. Louis-Gregory Strolger told WKU Public Radio that he has a range of emotions after hearing about the award. Dr. Strolger joined the research project as a graduate student in 1998, working at the Space Telescope Science Institute.
The WKU Professor says the honor is a good example of why it is so important for students to be involved in research efforts. Dr. Strolger has taught at WKU since 2005.
