WKU Concludes Cancun Challenge Against Western Carolina

WKU and Western Carolina meet Saturday night at 7:30 PM at E.A. Diddle Arena in the second and final game of the mainland portion of the 2012 Cancun Challenge. WKU defeated Austin Peay in the first game of the Cancun Challenge Tuesday night, and Western Carolina lost at Wichita State Thursday night.

Both teams will head to Cancun, along with six other schools, for two more games next week.

A win on Saturday would be WKU’s seventh-straight at home and send them to Mexico with a 2-1 record on the season.

Both Tuesday’s game against Austin Peay and Saturday’s contest against Western Carolina are part of the Cancun Challenge, and WKU heads to Mexico next week to play two more games in the early-season tournament.

Saturday's game is the 30th Annual BB&T Classic. The first 1,000 fans will receive a free red towel with the "50 Seasons of Diddle Arena" logo, and Super Fan will be in attendance giving away free BB&T t-shirts throughout the game.
