A key committee of the WKU Board of Regents has given approval to a new budget for 2012-2013. Meeting in the Cornelius Martin Regents Room on the WKU Campus, members of the Finance and Budget Committee approved a $388 million budget, which includes a 2% pay raise for faculty and staff.
The budget is an increase of nine-tenths of a percent over the previous year's budget.
University President Gary Ransdell says he is very pleased that the new plan preserves faculty and staff positions and helped make it possible to continue searches for open positions.
The full Board of Regents will vote on the plan at a meeting to be held on June 22nd.
