Bowling Green, Ky – WKU Head Baseball Coach Chris Finwood has submitted his resignation to accept the head coaching position at Old Dominion. WKU Athletics Director Ross Bjork joined Finwood in a telephone conference call to inform baseball student-athletes about the change.
The WKU Athletics Director says the University did everything in its power to retain Coach Finwood, but couldn't compete with "his deep family ties and previous coaching experiences within the state of Virginia." Bjork says Finwood helped to build an infrastructure for the future success of WKU baseball, and he expects a number of quality candidates to apply for the vacant coaching position. The search for WKU's new head baseball coach will begin immediately.
