WKU Holding Send-Off Ceremony for Swimmer Donahue Thursday Evening

Claire Donahue qualified for the Olympics at trials in Omaha last week, turning in the sixth fastest time in world history in the 100 meter butterfly. Donahue will join the U.S. swim team for a week of training in Knoxville Friday, then she'll train in France for a week before heading on to London.

The Lenoir City, TN., native is the first WKU swimmer to ever make a U.S Olympic team.

This afternoon's send off is being held at the Indian Hills Country Club in Bowling Green from 5 to 7pm, where Donahue will sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans.
