WKU's Jakes "Probable" for Thursday Night's Game Vs. Troy

The WKU Hilltopper football team hopes to break a bad streak of luck at Troy's Veterans Memorial Stadium. WKU is winless in its first four games there, dropping its last contest at Troy in November of 2010.

But the Toppers roll into Troy Thursday night on a hot streak, having won three straight against Arkansas State, Southern Miss, and Kentucky.

Chad Bishop of the Bowling Green Daily News has this great set-up pieceabout WKU's second Sun Belt contest of the season, including the status of injured starting quarterback Kawaun Jakes.

Kevin is the News Director at WKU Public Radio. He has been with the station since 1999, and was previously the Assistant News Director, and also served as local host of Morning Edition.
