Louisville, KY – The top executive for Yum! Brands, Inc. says the fast food giant is on track for another year of strong growth in restaurant openings around the globe.
Yum! CEO David Novak spoke to shareholders Thursday in Louisville.
Novak also acknowledged disappointment in the company's share price last year despite good profits for the parent of KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut.
Novak says building dominant brands in China and other countries were key parts of Yum's growth strategy.
Novak predicted Yum! would open another 400 restaurants in China this year and another 700 in its international division. Last year Yum! opened just ovr 1,500 restaurants including more than 400 in its China division.
