Bowling Green Woman Tells WKU Public Radio About Chaos Aboard Ship as it Went Down

Lauren Moore of Bowling Green, one of the survivors who escaped the Costa Concordia off the coast of a small Italian island.

Bowling Green resident Lauren Moore saw first-hand the chaos aboard the Costa Concordia cruise liner after it slammed into the reef Friday off the tiny island of Giglio.

Speaking to WKU Public Radio's Morning Edition host Joe Corcoran, Moore said passengers received no safety instructions, and had no idea where lifeboats or safety jackets were located. As of Wednesday morning, the death toll was at 11.
