Louisville, KY – Voters and those involved in getting votes counted on Election Day are calling this election a big one. KY-6: Incumbent Democrat From Political Family

Lexington, KY – It would probably be fair to say that politics runs through the veins of 6th Congressional District Congressman Ben Chandler. The grandson of two-time Kentucky Governor Happy Chandler has photographs of his congressional predecessors lining his Lexington office. Chandler is now running for re-election against Republican Jon Larson. WEKU's Stu Johnson sat down with the 49-year-old Chandler to talk about current issues facing our country.

Obama Effigy Incident Prompts University of Kentucky Race Relations Forum

Lexington, KY – University of Kentucky officials said they were "outraged" about an effigy of Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama that was found on campus on Wednesday. UK President Lee Todd sent a campus-wide email confirming the situation.

A second email pertaining to the effigy reached across the university from the provost Wednesday afternoon. Kumble R. Subbaswamy notified students, faculty and staff that a campus forum would be held to address the racial and cultural issues brought on by the incident.

Obama Effigy: Death Threat or Protest?

Richmond, KY – Leaders at the University of Kentucky, the city of Lexington and the state of Kentucky quickly condemned a hanging effigy of Barrack Obama as racist. But a quick look at online blogs show some people defending the effigy as legitimate political protest.

KY-3: Rematch Promises to Be Another Tight Race

Louisville, KY – Two years ago, the race for Kentucky's 3rd Congressional District seat was a tight one, with Democrat John Yarmuth unseating Republican incumbent Anne Northup.
