What's Next Following Conviction of Former Indiana Secretary of State?

The felony conviction of former Indiana Secretary of State Charlie White has Democrats and Republicans going to battle over who should replace him if a judge upholds the verdicts.

White was found guilty last weekend of voter fraud and other counts related to his voter registration for the 2010 Republican primary, and was forced from office.

Prosecutors say White lied about his address in order to protect his council seat in the Fishers community.

Indiana Senate Committee Gives the Go-Ahead to Teaching Creationism in Public Schools

An Indiana Senate panel has approved a bill that would allow creationism to be taught in the Hoosier State’s public schools. The Senate Education Committee voted 8-to-2 to send the legislation to the full Indiana Senate despite pleas from scientists and some religious leaders to keep religion out of public school science classrooms.
