Republicans Like Chances of Holding Kentucky's 4th US House Seat

Tea party candidate Thomas Massie says he likes his chances this fall after winning the GOP nomination in Kentucky’s Fourth Congressional District. Massie has the backing of many national tea party groups and of U.S. Senator Rand Paul. The Lewis County Judge-Executive gathered just under half of the vote in a seven person primary, greatly out-distancing his two closest contenders.

Kentucky and Arkansas Wins Push Romney Closer to GOP Victory

Mitt Romney swept the Kentucky and Arkansas Republican presidential primaries Tuesday, inching closer to the GOP nomination he is certain to win. With no serious opposition left, the former Massachusetts governor easily won both contests. He won all 42 delegates at stake in Kentucky and at least 31 of the 33 delegates at stake in Arkansas.

Incumbents Have Great Night Throughout Kentucky, as Voter Turnout Slightly Exceeds Predictions

Tuesday was a very good night for Kentucky's incumbents. Of the dozen or so state House and Senate races we were following in the listening area of WKU Public Radio, no incumbents were defeated.

More Election Fraud Hotline Calls Reported

The Kentucky Attorney General's Election Fraud Hotline has received at least 16 calls during primary voting today. The Attorney General's Office is restricted by law from providing specific details about the complaints. However, the Office says the complaints range from procedural questions to general election fraud. Two calls were received from Magoffin County today about alleged vote buying. Jefferson County had  one complaint about electioneering within 300 feet of the polls and one about disrupting polls.
