The Public Service Commission says work crews have significantly reduced the number of power outages in Kentucky, following Friday's devastating tornado outbreak. It is now estimated that there are just over 1400 outages in the Commonwealth. Many of the continuing outages are reported in Morgan and Menifee counties. The numbers don't include individuals who have had their electric lines repaired, but who cannot have service reconnected because of damage to their home.

The Kentucky Public Service Commission says thousands of residents in the state remain without power, following Friday's outbreak of severe weather. Heading into Sunday morning, an estimated 21 thousand power outages were reported in the Commonwealth.
