Bowling Green, KY – Warren County Circuit Court Judge Steve Wilson has refused to dismiss a lawsuit claiming a prominent attorney owes the city of Bowling Green several hundred thousand dollars. Judge Wilson ruled that the city has standing to sue Steve Catron over his work related to the Convention Center in Bowling Green.
Jabez, KY – The body of a Pulaski County man has been recovered from the Russell County section of Lake Cumberland where authorities believe he accidentally drowned. Water patrol officer Tony Wright says 40 year old Emmanuel Cockerham of Nancy could not swim. He was wading with his sister and some friends Sunday near the Jabez community when he went under. Cockerham's body was recovered Sunday afternoon. An autopsy is being performed in Frankfort.
Washington, D.C. – U-S Senator Jim Bunning is criticizing the Department of Energy's handling of the sick worker program. The Republican from Northern Kentucky says he is especially concerned about workers from Paducah and other parts of the country, who have suffered illnesses related to their work at nuclear power plants during the cold war era.
