Sophomore T.J. Price scored a career high 30 points as WKU opened Sun Belt Conference play with a 65-54 win over ULM at the Fant-Ewing Coliseum Thursday night. WKU has now won five of its last six conference openers as the Hilltoppers expanded a two-point lead at the half into a double-digit victory.
A legislative task force has made its final recommendations to improve the health and safety of Kentucky’s middle school athletes. Kentucky currently has a High School Athletics Association, which sets policies for older students who are beyond the middle school age.
WKU President Gary Ransdell and Athletic Director Todd Stewart have issued a joint statement Wednesday in response to questions regarding WKU's future athletic conference. Another round of conference realignment kicked off this week when Maryland announced it was leaving the ACC for the Big Ten, and Rutgers said it was leaving the Big East for the Big 10.
