As the Major League Baseball play-offs get underway, many teams are counting on strong pitching staffs to move them closer to the World Series. For many fans, it can be difficult to tell what's going on when a pitcher changes speeds or tries to fool a hitter with a slider or cut fastball. WKU head baseball coach Matt Myers says the art of pitching can be more difficult than some fans might realize.
The WKU Hilltopper baseball team dropped a close game to Florida Atlantic Wednesday night in the first round of the Sun Belt Conference tournament. The 4 to 3 loss marked the first time WKU has lost a game at Bowling Green Ballpark, after winning four previous contests there.
