Kentucky Will Ask for a Waiver from "No Child Left Behind" Testing Mandates

Frankfort, KY – Kentucky Department of Education Spokesperson Lisa Gross has confirmed that Kentucky will apply for a waiver from student testing mandates in the Federal "No Child Left Behind" law. Officials with the U-S Department of Education have indicated that they plan to offer such waivers to all fifty states, as long as those states meet other school reform requirements. President Obama had requested the waiver process.

Meet the Man who Interprets Arabic in Kentucky's Courtrooms

When he's not teaching Arabic language classes at WKU, he's traveling the state, working as the only Arabic language interpreter and translator certified to appear in Kentucky's courtrooms. Krystal Hamburger Chain Looks for Buyer

Bowling Green, KY – The Krystal restaurant chain is well-known in many southern states for their square-shaped, small hamburgers. Officials with the Chattanooga-based company have announced that they are seeking new ownership, and have hired the Piper Jaffray firm to assist in that search. Krystal currently operates more than 360 company-owned and franchise restaurants in eleven states, and employs more than seven thousand people.
