Benton, KY – State police report traffic accidents claimed the lives of eight people in Kentucky during the weekend, including a three year old girl who was killed by an airbag deployment.
A report from the Mayfield state policepost says Avery Lockett of Benton suffered massive head and neck injuries and died at Marshall County hospital following a two car crash Friday afternoon.
State police say the child's grandmother, 62 year old Yvonne Lockett of Benton, was holding the child in her lap when the car's airbags deployed.
The grandmother and three others were taken to the hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries
