Cash gifts have reached a record level at WKU. Officials at the Institution say nineteen million dollars was donated in the past fiscal year. Dan Modlin has more on the story.

Bowling Green, KY – WKU Officials say significant increases in alumni giving played a key role in boosting overall cash gifts to the nineteen million dollar mark. Vice President for Institutional Advancement Tom Hiles says cash gifts from alumni increased forty-five percent over the previous year's level. The institution also reports a signficant increase in corporate giving during that same twelve month period.

Hiles says donors are seeing the impact of their gifts, as reflected in what he calls the "transformation taking place at WKU."
