City budgets in Ky feeling the strain of funding retirement system

Bowling Green, Ky – City and county budgets in Kentucky are being strained by the mandatory funding of the County Employee Retirement System. Bowling Green Mayor Elaine Walker tells Western's Public Radio she and other city and county leaders in the state are pushing for ways to relieve the burden on local budgets. But any fix will have to pass the General Assembly, a move that may prove politically unpopular.
