Crews Rescue Teen Hiker Who Fell from Cliff at Lake Cumberland

Firefighters say a 13-year-old boy is recovering after falling from a cliff near Lake Cumberland while hiking with friends.

The boy survived a nearly 100-foot fall on Sunday evening and rescuers spent hours getting him to safety.

The terrain around the landing where the boy fell made getting him out difficult. About 15 people formed an assembly line to pass the teen up the cliff to a safe area.

Officials didn't detail the injuries the boy suffered, but said he is expected to recover.
