Defendant Enters Guilty Plea in Murder Case

By Dan Modlin

Bowling Green, KY – A defendant in the 2003 slaying of a Bowling Green
man has entered a guilty plea to murder and robbery
charges. Under terms of the plea agreement, 20 year
old Jamin William Roberson will serve a life sentence
with parole eligibility in twenty years.

Roberson pleaded guilty to killing Hal DaJuan Holder
in a Bowling Green apartment on February 21st, 2003.
Prosecutors say Roberson and an accomplice were
approached by Holder when they planned to rob his
apartment. Holder was shot three times.

Warren County Commonwealth's Attorney Chris Cohron
says the victim's family was consulted before the plea
agreement. He told Western's Public Radio, "any time you
have a young man lose his life, there is no outcome that will
be a positive outcome."
