"Bowling Green, KY – 30 year old Waad Ramadan Alwan and 23 year old Mohanad Shareef Hammadi are former residents of Iraq who currently reside in Bowling Green, Kentucky. They are facing a 23 county indictment for their alleged involvement in trying to support Al Qaeda in Iraq. According to court documents, the FBI has been able to identify two latent fingerprints belonging to Alwan on an unexploded IED that was recovered by U-S forces in Iraq several years ago. If convicted of all counts, both men could face life in prison.
The case is also raising some questions about how these individuals were able to locate in the United States and why they chose Bowling Green,Kentucky for their residences. U-S Senator Rand Paul has called for Congressional Hearings to help determine how the suspects were able to enter the country.
