Elizabethtown Couple Charged With Leaving Kids Home Alone
The couple told police they went shopping at Walmart. Police found the two-year-old and 11-month old children home alone after being called by a witness who saw the man and woman leaving.
The witness told police it's not the first time the kids had been left alone. Police entered the home through an unlocked back door and found the children in a bedroom. The two-year-old was asleep, but the 11-month old was screaming and crying. The parents arrived back home about ten minutes later.
Twenty-one-year old Christopher Nyborg and 22-year-old Danielle Nyborg are charged with first degree wanton endangerment and endangering the welfare of a minor. Child Protective Services is investigating.
