Explosive Device Found Outside of Corbin Police Chief's Home

Kentucky State Police are investigating after an explosive device was found outside the home of the Corbin police chief.

The Lexington Herald-Leader cited state police in reporting the device included hand grenades in which the pins had been removed and the fuses tied together with parachute cord.

Kentucky State Police safely detonated the device and said it had enough force to puncture a gas tank on a vehicle.

Police say the culprit, if found, could be charged with use of a weapon of mass destruction.
