Bowling Green, Ky – Defense lawyers are asking a jury in Paducah to spare the life of Steven Green. The former Ft. Campbell soldier was convicted last week of capital murder, making him eligible for the death penalty. Green is accused of raping an Iraqi teenager, then murdering her and three family members. Professor Robert Holland teaches at South Texas College of Law in Houston. As a former military lawyer and trial judge, he says there is strong evidence of premeditation in the case.
