Frost Advisory Early Saturday Morning For Western Counties

National Weather Service

The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for early Wednesday morning, affecting the western parts of the WKU Public Radio listening area.

A strong cold front moved through the Ohio Valley on Thursday, ushering in a colder air mass for the weekend. By early Saturday morning, surface high pressure will be anchored over the middle Mississippi River Valley, allowing for mostly clear skies and nearly calm winds generally west of I-65.

This atmospheric setup will allow for temperatures to drop into the mid and upper 30s by dawn on Saturday. Although conditions will be marginal for frost, a few areas will see frost develop, especially in sheltered areas and valleys.

More from the National Weather Service.
