Ft. Knox Museum Gets 9/11 Fire Truck

A fire truck that responded to the terrorist attack at the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001 will be displayed at the General George Patton Museum of Leadership at Fort Knox. Museum director Christopher Kolakowski told The News-Enterprise that the truck is being prepared and preserved before it is put on display.

He says the museum hopes to host an event when the truck is moved to its exhibit space, but they haven't decided yet when that will be.

The newspaper reports that the museum is one of only a few to be able to exhibit a public fire truck that responded to the 2001 attacks.

The truck was several yards away when a plane hit the building, but suffered observable damage.
