Governor Fletcher's Budget Address Tonight

By AP

Frankfort, KY – Governor Fletcher's budget speech Tuesday night is expected to focus on teachers' salaries, the Medicaid program, pension obligations and a growing prison population.
Fletcher will outline his proposed state spending plan for the next two years during the address. He's already announced his budget proposal would likely include funding for arenas in Lexington and Louisville.
The Governor has also announced his intentions to boost teachers' pay statewide to match those of neighboring states, along with an incentive plan for educators.
Senate President David Williams says Fletcher's budget address is very important in crafting the state's next spending plan.
