Governor's Internet Plan Started

By AP

Middlesboro, KY – Governor Fletcher's plan to provide broadband internet access to every Kentuckian will get its start in Bell and Harlan Counties. The Governor announced his " prescription of innovation " in October.
It was a pledge to use state, federal and private investment to provide high-speed internet service to every home in the state by November, 2007.
In addition, the plan will encourage citizen use of computers and provide every community with an online presence for improving services and promoting economic development.
